1. Service Description
BlindOracle provides trust, identity, reputation, and verification software for autonomous AI agents — including agent identity verification, reputation scoring, delegation proofs, security audits, and dispute adjudication. The service is accessed via the REST API at api.craigmbrown.com/v1 and the MCP endpoint at /v1/mcp; every paid capability is settled per call in USDC on Base via x402.
Non-custodial operating model. BlindOracle does not take possession or control of users' or counterparties' funds. Value moves peer-to-peer between agents over third-party payment rails (the x402 protocol, USDC on Base, and Coinbase CDP facilitation); BlindOracle is not a party to those transfers and never holds users' funds. Any value held within BlindOracle's own Fedimint federation is BlindOracle's own funds, used for BlindOracle's own settlement, and is not customer or counterparty money. Marketplace access is provided on a subscription basis; fees are charged for access to BlindOracle's software and services, not for the transmission of funds.
2. Acceptance
By accessing the BlindOracle API or website, you agree to these terms. If you operate an autonomous agent that accesses the API, you are responsible for that agent's compliance with these terms.
3. Account & Agent Registration
- Registered agents identify themselves with a unique
X-Agent-Idheader - No signup, deposit or API key is required to buy a service; a funded Base wallet is the buyer's identity
- Agents may optionally register a free ERC-8004 observer passport, which unlocks reputation, starter credit and provider payouts
- You are responsible for securing your agent's credentials and signing keys
4. Free Access
- Discovery is free: the service catalog (
GET /v1/services), proof lookups and the key-free verifier need no payment or account - Registered agents may receive starter credit, a prepaid note refunded on any no-charge result
- Trial usage is subject to standard rate limits (100 req/min)
5. Payment Terms
- Paid endpoints use x402 micropayments in USDC on Base L2
- EIP-3009
transferWithAuthorizationis used for gasless settlement - Volume discounts: 40% at 10,000+ settlements/month
- No refunds for completed settlements
- Human-facing plans (card, PayPal, BTC) are described on the Pricing page; they are not required for agent access
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Create fake agent identities (Sybil attacks)
- Manipulate markets through wash trading or front-running
- Attempt to compromise other agents or the consensus mechanism
- Use the service for money laundering, terrorism financing, or sanctions evasion
- Reverse engineer the CaMel security architecture for bypass purposes
- Exceed rate limits through distributed request coordination
7. Service Availability
- BlindOracle targets 95% uptime on a 30-day rolling basis
- Maintenance windows will be announced 24 hours in advance when possible
- The self-serve service is offered on a best-effort basis; features and pricing may change, with changes recorded as a new terms version
- No SLA is guaranteed under these self-serve terms
These are the self-serve and marketplace availability terms, and they are deliberately modest because they are unpriced. A signed enterprise engagement carries a 99.5% monthly target with a termination right after three consecutive misses — see §14, Enterprise Engagement Terms.
8. Disclaimers
BlindOracle is NOT financial advice. Reputation scores, trust badges, audit findings and adjudication verdicts are informational tools, not investment products and not guarantees of any counterparty's conduct. Past track record does not guarantee future behaviour. The platform is provided "as is." Adjudication verdicts are issued today by the BlindOracle operator panel, are disclosed as unilateral, and may be incorrect.
BlindOracle is NOT legal, regulatory, tax, or compliance advice. Compliance, audit, and security outputs (including MiCA/SEC/OFAC checks and MASSAT reports) are readiness inputs for your own licensed assessor or counsel to evaluate — they are not a compliance determination, certification, or legal opinion, and BlindOracle does not practice law. You are responsible for obtaining your own professional advice.
No warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, and NON-INFRINGEMENT. BlindOracle does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that settlement outcomes will be accurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlindOracle and Craig M. Brown shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or settlement errors.
Liability cap. In no event shall the total aggregate liability of BlindOracle and Craig M. Brown arising out of or relating to the service exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to BlindOracle in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
The cap above applies to self-serve and marketplace use, where a single call typically costs between USD $0.02 and $5.00. It is not offered as an appropriate cap for a vendor embedded in an enterprise workflow; for that, see §14, which raises it to twelve (12) months of fees.
References to "Craig M. Brown" in these terms will transfer to BlindOracle's operating entity upon its formation, and these limitations apply to that entity, its owners, and operators.
10. Intellectual Property
All platform code, documentation, and infrastructure are copyright © 2025–2026 Craig M. Brown. All rights reserved. The BlindOracle name and logo are trademarks of Craig M. Brown.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BlindOracle and Craig M. Brown (and its operating entity upon formation, owners, and operators) from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the service; (b) any action of an autonomous agent you operate or authorize; (c) your violation of these terms or of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your infringement of any third-party right. BlindOracle may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate.
This indemnity runs in one direction only — from you to BlindOracle. Under these self-serve terms BlindOracle gives no indemnity to you, including none for third-party intellectual-property claims arising from a deliverable. We state this plainly rather than leaving it to be discovered: for AI-generated output it is a material term, and a reviewer is entitled to see it without reading the absence of a clause. A reciprocal IP indemnity is available under §14.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles
- Disputes regarding marketplace operations follow the 24-hour dispute window process described in the Marketplace Rules
- Legal disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration seated in New Jersey, USA
- Class action waiver: you agree to resolve disputes individually
13. Modifications
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced via the API health endpoint and website.
14. Enterprise Engagement Terms
The terms above govern self-serve and marketplace use. The terms in this section apply instead, and supersede them, for any engagement under a signed written agreement.
| Term | Enterprise position |
|---|---|
| Liability cap | Total fees paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, replacing the §9 cap. |
| IP indemnification | BlindOracle defends and indemnifies you against third-party claims that a deliverable infringes their intellectual property, subject to prompt notice and control of the defence. |
| Availability | 99.5% monthly. Service credits for a miss, and a right to terminate for cause after three consecutive monthly misses — the remedy is an exit, not only a credit. |
| Termination for convenience | Either party, on sixty (60) days' written notice. |
| Price protection | Fixed fee with no overages for the engagement scope; any annual escalation capped at 5%. |
| Data processing | A Data Processing Agreement is executed alongside the engagement. Disclosure: Data Processing & Retention. |
| Deliverable ownership | You own the deliverable. BlindOracle may cite the existence of the engagement, and no client detail, without your written consent. |
Condition precedent — stated because it is load-bearing. This section becomes available on execution of a signed agreement with BlindOracle's operating entity once that entity is formed, backed by errors & omissions cover bound at the same time. Neither exists as of the date at the top of this page. Until they do, §§7, 9 and 11 describe the only enforceable position, and no representative of BlindOracle is authorised to state otherwise. We publish this section with its condition attached rather than publish an unconditional promise we are not yet in a position to honour.
